Who paid for this website?

The BBC paid for this website as part of The People’s Politician, an experiment in a new kind of politics to see if politicians and the public can re-connect using the internet and methods of direct democracy.

The experiment involves the Conservative MP Ann Widdecombe and the Labour MP Richard Caborn, both of whom are standing down at the next General Election.

The experiment is being filmed by the BBC and will feature in The People’s Politician to be broadcast on BBC 2 in 2010.
